SWORDS

Swords are the suit representing air. These cards tend to symbolize action, logic, communication, confidence, justice, and perspective.

ACE OF SWORDS

A single sword speaks for itself.

Truth, decision, words, a sign, direction, a new clarity.

TWO OF SWORDS

Two swords oppose each other in opposition, yet free to exist as their own thoughts. In reverse this card does not change, reminding us of the confusion comparison can bring.

Duality, debate, comparison, pause, conflicting thoughts, decisions to be made.

THREE OF SWORDS

Two crossed swords create a mirror of open space, while a third cuts up behind it. All connection has potential to be intersected.

Disruption, critique, subversion of patterns, endings as beginnings, transformation of thought.

FOUR OF SWORDS

Four swords are uniform, pinning downward into the earth. All aspects come together to focus on one direction, one goal.

Reflection, purposeful action, intention, gratitude, checking in.

FIVE OF SWORDS

Three swords converge, while two cross below them. The line between healthy contest, and division within.

Conflict, confidence, intent vs. action, infighting, survival instincts preventing true authenticity.

SIX OF SWORDS

The coins move in cycles, in circles, all overlapping another, and all being overlapped. All is equal, all is shared.

Reciprocity, community health vs. charity, vulnerability, sharing, the cycles of growth.

SEVEN OF SWORDS

Six swords hold up a single sword, experience and decisions elevating a single point. Confidence blooms… or else sleeps on a bed of blades.

Power, confidence, close-minded

EIGHT OF SWORDS

Eight swords spiral inward, pairs come together in tight points. There is a friction trapped in this movement, pulling inward against itself.

Suffocated spirit, critique of gut response, defensive action, spirals.

NINE OF SWORDS

Two groups of four swords move ahead, while one turns back against the tide. Alone.

Deviance, subversion, overwhelming thoughts, isolation, departure, searching for the root of an energy.

TEN OF COINS

Ten swords stack in a bouquet, diving for the root of the earth. Culmination of action.

Finite decisions, expressing boundaries, endings, confident articulation, the final judgement.
